Hi! I’m Kelly Spitalnick, and sewing has been my superpower since I was a kid. I started lessons at 10 years old, and never looked back.
That passion took me to Baylor University, where I studied Fashion Design, then to the hustle and bustle of New York City, where I worked as a Production & Design Assistant and helped coordinate creative events at Lululemon.
Eventually, I made my way back to sunny California and leveled up at FIDM with a focus in Product Development. Today, I combine my 33 years of sewing with 20 years of apparel design, development and production experience to help people of all ages discover their creative spark.
Sewing isn’t just about making clothes—it’s about building confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills that last a lifetime.
Whether you're 7 or 70, sewing can unlock a whole new way to express yourself. My goal is to inspire kids and adults alike to pick up a needle and thread and see where it takes them. Let’s make mistakes, learn together, and create something amazing—one stitch at a time.
