My Story
Hi! I’m Kelly Spitalnick, and sewing has been my superpower since I was a kid. I started lessons at 10 years old, and never looked back.
That passion took me to Baylor University, where I studied Fashion Design, then to the hustle and bustle of New York City, where I worked as a Production & Design Assistant and helped coordinate creative events at Lululemon.
Eventually, I made my way back to sunny California and leveled up at FIDM with a focus in Product Development. Today, I combine my 33 years of sewing with 20 years of apparel design, development and production experience to help people of all ages discover their creative spark.
I bring 20 + years of experience in fashion design, production, and apparel development to Threads Sewing School. My expertise and creative insight enrich the learning experience for all our students.
